Violin Performance & Instruction

I am a lifelong violinist and I'm passionate about playing and sharing music. I started Suzuki violin lessons before I was 3 years old and played throughout college. I continue to play at weddings, for surprise marriage proposals, holiday parties, and for many different types of events. I've even dressed as Princess Leia and performed on aerial silks while playing. I’ve also dressed as Alice in Wonderland, worn a champagne skirt while playing at a masquerade ball, and performed at a circuit party at 2 am! I can play anything from Bach to Beyonce, depending on what you're looking for to make your event unique.

I have completed the Every Child Can course through the Suzuki Association of the Americas. I feel very comfortable with the Suzuki method and read as much literature as I can. I also really enjoy teaching. I'm constantly refining my teaching style so I can help all children learn to play.

The students I work with are often involved in lots of activities both in and out of school - from dance class to church youth groups and competitive athletics to school music programs. My goal is to introduce them to the violin, help them understand and appreciate music, and find the same lifelong joy in playing that I have found.

Along the way, I hope to help them gain confidence, develop self-discipline, and encourage a genuine love of music. Suzuki's vision was that every child can learn to play music. It's my job as a teacher to help each child find his or her full potential as not only a musician, but also as a whole person, on his or her own timeline.
